ACTIVITIES
One of my .jp friend's friends is havin a bday party on the Friday night in Roppongi (In Tokyo)
We are all invited!!!
It's at a nightclub and is nomihoudai (all-u-can-drink) from 11pm-2am.
Males: 3500yen
Females: 3000yen (coz apparently we dont drink as much... hahaha)
We will have drinks before hand (I think we will be in Tokyo around 9/10pm if the plane is on time) somewhere in Roppongi.
The Saturday night will be a 'Drinking Tour'!! just go from place to place (including karaoke)... lol. a.w.e.s.o.m.e.
During the day? I dunno... whatever. Any ideas? Sunday is a great day to go and see the Harajuku girls(and boys.. tho sometimes you wouldnt know it) And the Meji shrine. Also Asakusa is great for touristy goodies.
Let me know what you think of my ideas... And Ill tell my .jp mates if there is anything else u wanna do.
Oh. I have also been told we are not allowed to drink too much on the plane so we can get nice and sloshed on cheaper booze @ the party. And to get lots of rest coz we will be doing lots.
I thought this was valuable advice (^,^)v
Clubs, bars, restaurants etc WILL NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS!!! so please please please take cash!!

THINGS TO KNOW
Things you should know about our flights if you're a bit unsure:
- Carry on only. We'll be in country for just a little over 48 hours, very little of that time (hopefully) at our accom, so if you need to use checked baggage, you've got too much stuff and should leave some behind.
- Baggage has to be within these dimensions: 56cm (width) 36cm (height) 23cm (depth) for an overnight bag, laptop bag or briefcase. It's two days and two nights people, you can do this.
- Liquid restrictions are still in place flying out of .au and out of .jp so be prepared, lest they be confiscated.
- You will need your passport.
Things to know about Japan, if you're unsure:
- It will be COLD over there. Though it will likely be >30°C when we leave Cairns, I recommend wearing some cold weather gear on the plane (not the least because it save room in your baggage) as it will be heading towards a cheery 12°C when we land that night. Sunday is predicted to be a sunny 12°C, so that'll be nice.
- If you want your phone to work over there, you will have to turn on international roaming. See your mobile network provider for details.
- I recommend reading about Japan and Tokyo before you go.
NIPPON
Japan (日本) is a cool country that is made of mountains of Sushi(鮨) floating in a sea of Umeshu (梅酒). The major past time of .jp is hanging out in Mechs, hadouken-ing (波動拳) each other, and generally being Manga (漫画). The Prime Minister of .jp is Eric_a Rodan_Mothra (絵里香 ラドン_モスラ), who has implemented may new schemes aimed at bettering the life of mech-less .jps.
Things to eat while in .jp include silicon chips, godzilla burgers, anything with Ninja (忍者) in the name, and anything at all that anyone from Shinjuku(新宿) offers you.
To avoid becoming an unsuspecting "Kame~hame~Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!~" victim, go here to learn karate (空手) from a master.
If you hade a 48+ hour window in Tokyo(東京), what would you do?
Several days of madness, .jp food, grog, supercool train things, and the chance to wander thru a superstore dedicated to hi tech gadgets.... *droolz*
